i have fought before, and i have been saved before

but when it is time, the raven queen and servants like me will watch over those who pass,
to keep them from being used or turning violent against those who are still fighting

Then that just makes you a reaper plus. Or, better than most reapers. They got a rule back home. They don't mess with the living. When people die, they step in. When they're alive, we ain't their territory.

but if that is what reapers do too, then i suppose yes,

I met a few who are okay. I fought them at first too, but what they do is important. Good people, they don't want to become ghosts. Reapers stop that from happening.

Some are dicks, too.

Yeah, some humans are dicks. No argument from me. I can give you a long list.

All of them. Angels, too. People give angels way too much credit. They're some of the biggest dicks out there.
